I offer a listening ear and a fresh perspective, whether you’re dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, interpersonal issues, or anything else you may need to address. For those who are marginalized, particularly trans, nonbinary, or queer individuals, I seek to provide as safe and affirming an experience as possible around discussion of identity exploration, transition, and societal stigma. I also offer group therapy for trans and nonbinary adults.
I have worked mainly, although not exclusively, with transgender adults since 2014. I provide gender transition-related support, including referral letters for hormones and surgeries when needed. I believe you are the expert on what is important to you, what works for you, and how you think and feel. Internal Family Systems (IFS) is the main type of therapy I do, and I’m Level 1 trained. IFS is all about building trust within yourself, getting to know different parts of you from an open and curious perspective, and helping those parts heal. IFS is a game-changer in helping people get unstuck from the feelings, beliefs, and patterns that hold them back. I am passionate about serving people who might not otherwise feel comfortable seeking therapy or who might not otherwise have access to it. That’s why I take most insurance and also supervise graduate students who are available for a fee of $45 so there is a low-cost option for people without insurance.
