Dr. Aaron Lee is a sports medicine and orthopedic acupuncture specialist based in San Jose, CA, with expertise in dry needling, myofascial trigger point therapy, and integrative pain management. A lifelong athlete — from competitive swimming and weightlifting to CrossFit — Dr. Aaron brings a deep understanding of movement, fascial health, and joint rehabilitation to his patient care.
His journey into Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) began during his undergraduate years at the University of Austin, where acupuncture helped him manage stress, sports-related muscle pain, and seasonal allergies. Inspired by the benefits, he pursued a Master’s in TCM and later earned the highest clinical degree available in the U.S., the Doctor of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (DAOM) from Five Branches University. His doctoral research on Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine for Acute Myeloid Leukemia was presented at the International Symposium on Acupuncture and Moxibustion.
In addition to his clinical expertise, Dr. Aaron is a Certified Personal Trainer, CrossFit Level 1 Trainer, Primal Health Coach, Medical Qigong Practitioner, and Certified in Sports & Orthopedic Medicine. He was one of the first acupuncturists in the Bay Area officially certified in Myofascial Trigger Point Therapy and Dry Needling through Myopain Seminars, and he also holds certification in Pelvic Floor Acupuncture.
Dr. Aaron works extensively with professional, collegiate, and youth athletes, including the San Jose Sharks and Barracuda, as well as athletes in football, gymnastics, soccer, rugby, and MMA/UFC.
