Hi, I’m Alicia! A quick little “About Me”:
Born and raised in the South Bay of Los Angeles, I earned my Bachelors degree in Psychology at UC Santa Barbara and spent some time in the work force before returning to school. Eventually, my passion for psychology took me to Pepperdine University where I completed my Masters degree in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy. I’m in my mid-30’s and identify as bisexual (but in a straight-presenting relationship), multiracial, multicultural, a bibliophile, and a lover of all things involving tacos and basset hounds!
During my Master’s program, I completed my clinical training at The LGBTQ Center OC where I gained specialized experience with LGBTQ-affirming care, trauma-informed care, gender identity issues, monogamous and non-monogamous couples issues, and co-facilitated their weekly Women’s Group. Today, I facilitate a Women’s Mental Health Group in private practice as well, providing a safe space for women of all backgrounds to support each other and learn practical coping skills in this “post-pandemic” world.
