Alysen Demzik, MD, is a specialist in Reconstructive Urology and Gender Affirming Surgery at Rush Urology. She is dedicated to providing compassionate and coordinated care for transgender, non-binary, and gender-diverse patients.
Demzik completed a fellowship in Genitourinary Trauma and Reconstruction with a focus on Gender Affirming Care at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis after completing urology residency a University of North Carolina and receiving her MD at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine in Chicago.
Demzik’s clinical interests include primary and revision gender-affirming genital surgery (including orchiectomy, vaginoplasty, revision vaginoplasty (including peritoneal), metoidioplasty, phalloplasty complications, and implant surgery), genitoplastics, adult buried penis, ureteral injury, urinary fistula, and urethral stricture. She utilizes robotic and minimally invasive approaches whenever possible to provide the highest level of care for patients with challenging reconstructive urologic issues.
