Andrew Harwood, MS, LLPC (they/he)
I am a Panromantic, Asexual, Transmasculine therapist specializing in trauma-informed care for LGBTQIA+ individuals, neurodivergent adults, and those navigating religious trauma. As an LLPC, my practice is deeply rooted in affirming, collaborative therapy that acknowledges the complexities of identity, spirituality, and lived experience.
My primary focus areas include LGBTQIA+ issues, sober living, religious trauma, complex post-traumatic stress disorder (C-PTSD), and neurodivergence. Having personally navigated these intersections, I provide a deeply empathetic and validating space for clients seeking to heal from trauma and embrace their authentic selves.
I integrate Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Narrative Therapy into my work, while incorporating Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) techniques when needed. My approach is client-centered and non-hierarchical—therapy is a collaborative effort, where I offer tools and resources rather than dictate solutions.
Beyond my clinical expertise, I bring a unique spiritual perspective to my practice. As an Omnist, I honor the validity of all spiritual paths and have spent over 16 years studying and engaging with diverse traditions, including Druidry (Irish and Welsh), Hellenismos, Kemeticism, Islam, Hinduism, and Lakota Nation beliefs. For clients who seek a spiritual dimension in therapy, I can provide guidance that respects and integrates their beliefs without imposing any singular perspective.
As a queer, neurodivergent individual, I understand firsthand the challenges of navigating identity, mental health, and societal expectations. My goal is to create a space where clients feel truly seen, supported, and empowered to live authentically.
