As a member of the LGBTQIA+ community, I feel a special connection and desire to support this community. Since around 2009 I have felt a particular pull toward supporting the transgender and gender non-conforming community. I have taken many trainings on this subject and consistently around two thirds of my case load are clients with gender identity concerns or who are part of the gender queer community and focusing on other concerns. I have written many letters of support for HRT and gender affirming surgery.
