My clinical superpower is helping folks begin taking up space in their own life. Sometimes that looks like setting boundaries, practicing self-connection (remembering who you are), or exploring deeply-held beliefs that make it difficult to prioritize yourself. Clients often come to me struggling with perfectionism, burnout, and a general sense of not being enough. Sometimes that looks like overworking, drowning in family responsibilities, or not being able to pin down exactly what doesn’t feel good in your life – just knowing that something is off.
I’ve had intensive training and consultation in at least 5 evidence based modalities and I often use EMDR to help clients overcome trauma. The most valuable thing I’ve learned, though, is the importance of combining skills learned from each modality into an approach that works best for YOU. Collaboration is key in healing work!
Connection with a therapist is one of the most important parts of therapy. Unless you feel at ease being open and trusting your therapist, the rest doesn’t matter as much. I strive to ensure all of my clients feel seen and heard, and have the space they need to show up as their whole Selves.
