Before medical school, I was a professional opera singer. Through a physician visit with my wife, who is also a singer, I discovered laryngology and went from pursuing a performing career to caring for those pursuing a performing career.
I received my medical degree from the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine. I completed my residency at the Baylor College of Medicine and MD Anderson Cancer Center Combined Program. I then went not to fellowship training at the prestigious Emory University Voice Center.
