Callie (She/They) is an LGBTQ+ identifying and affirming Licensed Master Social Worker out of the West Des Moines office offering both in-person and telehealth. Callie has received WPATH training provided by the University of Iowa and is competent in providing gender-affirming care. Callie works with nontraditional relationships as well. Callie has experience working with adults and adolescents struggling with substance use disorders, mental health disorders, as well as co-occurring substance use and mental health disorders. This includes experience in multiple levels of care including outpatient, intensive outpatient, residential, and a half way house facility. She utilizes a whole-person approach and looks at how all aspects of an individual’s life may affect them and their recovery. Callie aims to provide every client with a safe, comfortable, and judgment-free environment through a genuine and humanistic approach. They utilize evidence-based practices including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Mindfulness techniques. Callie will be fully trained in Exposure and Response Prevention Therapy in mid March. Callie enjoys working with individuals aged 15 and up.
