I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Texas with over 13 years of experience working with individuals from diverse cultural, racial, and socioeconomic backgrounds. I am committed to providing inclusive, affirming, and culturally responsive care to LGBTQ+ individuals. I believe therapy should be a space where clients feel safe, respected, and fully supported in exploring their identities without fear of judgment.
I provide affirming care for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and questioning clients navigating anxiety, depression, eating disorders, body image concerns, self-esteem challenges, life transitions, relationship stress, and minority stress. I understand that LGBTQ+ individuals often face unique stressors—including discrimination, family rejection, religious conflict, and internalized shame—and I work collaboratively with clients to process these experiences while building resilience and self-acceptance.
My clinical approach primarily integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing, Person-Centered Therapy, and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy. These evidence-based approaches help clients identify unhelpful thought patterns, strengthen coping skills, build confidence, and move toward values-aligned living. I tailor treatment to each individual’s lived experience, recognizing the intersection of sexual orientation, gender identity, culture, and personal history.
I am committed to ongoing professional development in culturally competent and LGBTQ+-affirming practices and strive to create a therapeutic environment that honors each client’s autonomy and identity. My goal is to ensure that LGBTQ+ clients feel seen, empowered, and supported as they work toward emotional wellness and personal growth.
