I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with over five years of clinical experience and more than 15 years of personal experience supporting caregivers. I am committed to providing compassionate, culturally sensitive, and affirming care for LGBTQ+ clients across the lifespan, including teens, adults, and elders. My practice creates a calm, safe space where clients can slow down, explore challenges without judgment, and develop coping strategies for emotional exhaustion, stress, and life transitions.
I provide affirming care for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, non-binary, and questioning individuals, supporting identity exploration, coming out, relationship dynamics, minority stress, and internalized stigma. I understand that LGBTQ+ clients often navigate unique stressors, including family dynamics, discrimination, and caregiving responsibilities, and I tailor therapy to honor the intersections of sexual orientation, gender identity, culture, spirituality, and age.
Clinically, I integrate evidence-based and holistic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), Positive Psychology, Psychodynamic, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Structural Family Therapy, Art Therapy, and existential approaches. These modalities allow clients to explore deeper layers of emotional experience, build resilience, improve coping skills, and foster self-compassion.
I am committed to ongoing professional development in LGBTQ+ mental health and culturally responsive care. My goal is to help LGBTQ+ clients feel seen, heard, supported, and empowered as they navigate life’s challenges, caregiving responsibilities, and personal growth.
Therapy with me is collaborative and paced to meet each client’s needs, emphasizing safety, understanding, and affirmation of identity.
