I was drawn to the field due to my past relationships and experiences. In one of these relationships, it was really important for me to understand the individual’s behavior. This, was in addition to making the best informed decision to maneuver in a healthy way to exit. Through this experience, I was able to understand first-hand the feeling of doubting myself and my reactions, and wanted to explore and understand more. I truly believe that through self-exploration and reflection, we can grow and learn about ourselves, our relationships and the ways in which we deserve to be loved and love in return.
I’ve worked with folks across the lifespan, in a variety of different settings including youth service agencies to treatment centers. I was drawn to private practice because I wanted to be able to connect with my clients on a personal level and really cultivate meaningful relationships focused on healing. I believe that the intimate setting that is afforded in this type of therapeutic practice is ideal for interpersonal change.
I work with people in need who wish to explore relational dynamics either within themselves or within their communities. As a member of PFLAG I have found great joy and meaning in providing a space of acceptance, openness and celebration for the authenticity of all humans in my life. My goal and hope for my clients is to be able to cultivate a space where they can truly be themselves, in a supportive and non-judgmental setting. I strive to normalize the human experience, whether that be navigating through hardships, aligning with true self or gaining interpersonal insight and perspective.
