I personally identify as a Black Queer woman and center the services offered at Connected in Community on the liberation of Black Trans women, as they are the most vulnerable people within our society. This means, I am purposeful about providing Trans affirming care to all of my clients, including clients who are cisgendered. Central to my practice is the understanding that liberation and healing are connected and collective. In order for any of us to be whole and well, we must all have space to live whole and well.
Along with living these principles and practicing them clinically, I also provide continuing education opportunities at various universities teaching the integration of liberation theories and clinical mental health practice.
