Colton Sayers received his Post-Professional Clinical Occupational Therapy Doctorate at Shawnee State University. Colton is a Certified Neurologic Specialist who works clinically primarily in the outpatient setting. In addition to his clinical role, he is one of the OT Education Coordinators for the UC Health healthcare system. During his tenure, he has devised new learning and program initiatives to support both the clinical staff and patient populations. His professional interests within OT include occupational justice, mental health, queer health, and promoting inclusive care for marginalized groups. As part of his post-professional OTD at Shawnee State University, Colton developed the groundwork for the first OT LGBTQIA+ fellowship in the country. Colton hopes to improve OTs role in supporting the occupational needs for the LGBTQIA2S+ community through this advanced learning opportunity.
