I’m an outpatient neuro occupational therapist and work primarily with individuals who have had strokes and mild (concussions) to severe brain injuries. I continuously work on educating myself on healthcare issues affecting the LGBTQ+ community by taking trainings and courses to not only learn about larger systemic issues but also ways to provide more inclusive care to patients within their individualized plan of care (examples- MedCareZone Training and “Transgender and Gender-Diverse Care: ADLs and IADLs”).
