My name is Deneisha and have worked with many teenagers and young adults a in the LGBTQIA+ community. While in school at Clark Atlanta University we discussed intersectionality and working with diverse populations. I aim to understand the problems faced by marginalized populations and how sexual orientation/gender identity can cause even more stress with everyday life. I have done CEUs on how depression impacts those in this community. I am learning more everyday on how inclusivity and empathy are key components in assisting this population.
