Over the past 20yrs I have worked in a small community clinic and then started a small private practice. Most of my clients (90%) are all ages in the Trans Community. I underwent in-depth training and years of supervision to become a gender specialist. My office is a safe, nonjudgmental space that my clients enjoy coming dressed for the first time. In my practice, I help clients explore their gender, provide evaluations, letters for HRT and surgery. I am able to provide my clients with numerous resources along their journey. I have also worked with the families to help them to understand being Trans and loving someone who is Trans. I am a member of WPATH and follow WPATH’s Standards of Care. I meet the WPATH’s criteria to be a qualified Mental Health Professional working with children, adolescents and adults who present with gender dysphoria. I was on the Board of Directors for NAGLY (North Shore Alliance of GLBTQ Youth) for many years and continue to be involved in this program. I have presented at First Event for several years as well as attend workshops. I attended workshops at the NASW Symposium as well as gave workshops with other gender therapists. I have presented at Boston Children’s Hospital Conference and have taken workshops at several Southern Comfort Conferences and other GLBTQ workshops. I have also been involved in North Shore Pride for several years. After many years of being a therapist, I truly believe my clients in the Trans Community have been my most rewarding clients.
