You’re not here to settle for fine. You may want more ease in your body, more freedom in your gender, more connection to desire, pleasure, intimacy, or the kind of sex that actually feels worth wanting. Or maybe you’re not sure what you want yet—you just know something feels complicated, stuck, disconnected, or ready to change.
I’m Ezra Cake (they/them), a queer, non-binary trans and neurodivergent Registered Psychotherapist with more than a decade in private practice. I work with adults across Ontario around sexuality, gender, desire, sexual shame, intimacy, gender exploration and transition, gender dysphoria, body image, and the broader experience of living in a body.
My practice is also knowledgeable about kink, polyamory and consensual non-monogamy, asexual and ace-spectrum experiences, sexual pain and functioning, and the ways neurodivergence can shape sexuality, gender, sensory experience, relationships, and embodiment.
Therapy with me blends somatic, relational, experiential, feminist, and anti-oppressive approaches. It is warm, collaborative, and alive to complexity. We make room for contradictions and nuance, for the hard stuff and the good. I’m interested in helping you develop greater self-trust—not telling you who you are, what you should want, or what choices you should make.
Pleasure matters in my work, but pleasure doesn’t have to mean sex. It can mean feeling more alive, more connected, more at ease, more able to notice what you want and what you don’t. There is room here for uncertainty, ambivalence, experimentation, humour, and change.
I offer individual online psychotherapy to adults throughout Ontario and a free 50-minute consultation so we have enough time to get a real sense of one another before you decide whether you’d like to work together.
I also write about sexuality, gender, bodies, pleasure, and the complicated places where they meet. If you want a sense of how I think and how I approach this work before reaching out, you can find my writing at www.ezracake.com.
