I am an LGBTQ+ Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) licensed in New York and California, providing trauma-informed, affirming, and culturally responsive psychiatric care for LGBTQ+ individuals across the lifespan. As a queer clinician, my own lived experience and community involvement deeply shape my approach to mental health—centered on safety, respect, collaboration, and empowerment. I understand the unique stressors LGBTQ+ patients face, including identity exploration, discrimination, minority stress, relationship dynamics, and navigating medical systems that have not always been affirming. My commitment is to create a therapeutic environment where patients feel genuinely seen, validated, and supported.
I specialize in LGBTQ+-affirming medication management for conditions such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, PTSD (including complex trauma), OCD, psychotic disorders, mood disorders, insomnia, etc.. I have extensive experience supporting individuals who have histories of discrimination, medical trauma, family rejection, toxic relationships, and burnout—especially those in caregiving and healthcare roles. My practice integrates evidence-based pharmacotherapy with a whole-person approach, acknowledging intersectional identities, chosen family structures, gender-diverse experiences, and the impact of systemic inequities on mental well-being.
My LGBTQ+-specific training includes CME/CEU-based coursework in:
Trauma-informed care for LGBTQ+ communities
Minority stress and resilience frameworks
Suicide risk assessment in LGBTQ+ youth and adults
Psychopharmacology considerations for gender-diverse patients
Additionally, I prioritize continuous learning to ensure my practice reflects current best practices, inclusive language, and up-to-date cultural competencies.
I provide gender-affirming psychiatric support, including:
Treatment for anxiety, mood changes, and sleep disturbances related to transition or dysphoria
ADHD evaluation and management in queer and trans adults
PTSD treatment for survivors of abuse, identity-related trauma, or medical trauma
Support for individuals navigating sexuality, gender identity, and relationship transitions
My practice values autonomy, collaboration, and empowerment. I approach care with the belief that LGBTQ+ patients deserve affirming and equitable mental health treatment that not only addresses symptoms but strengthens resilience, identity, connection, and well-being. I welcome individuals from all backgrounds and am committed to creating a compassionate, inclusive, and healing space where every patient is affirmed in their whole identity.
