Warm greetings. Whether I am offering therapy to an individual, a relationship, a family, or a group, I believe that my clients are the best experts on their lives. I have over a decade of experience working with queer and transgender clients, and as a queer and transgender therapist myself, I am honored to do this kind of professional T4T work. I have extensive experience supporting folks as they explore their gender identity, as well as writing letters for gender affirming surgeries. I also have experience with (and enjoy working with) neurodivergent, kinky and/or polyamorous clients.
I use a combination of approaches in my therapeutic work including anti-oppression, feminist, and narrative frameworks. I rely deeply on systems theory and the understanding that individuals are products of and in dialogue with our surroundings, including our families, broader culture, workplaces, nature, and political climates. Along with my therapy degree, I also hold a masters degree in theological studies, and I incorporate conversations about spirituality and spiritual direction into sessions as clients desire. I am committed to creating a sacred and non-judgmental environment where clients can honestly and courageously craft their personal goals and participate in their own transformation.
I am also a trained Circle facilitator and have offered trainings to healthcare professionals and counseling interns and students regarding best practices when working with queer and transgender clients.
