Irene (pronounced: ee REH neh) is a Licensed Clinical Social worker with over 15 years of experience. They received their Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Maryland, Baltimore. Their approach is warm, curious, non-judgmental, trauma-informed, and client-centered. They work with clients to identify strengths, gain self-acceptance/love, and find opportunities to heal and grow.
They’re committed to creating a safe space for clients to explore their thoughts and feelings. Irene specializes in serving the LGBTQIA+ community with a particular dedication to supporting Latinx transgender, gender nonbinary people and their families. Irene is available to provide letters of support for those seeking gender confirmation medical services/procedures. Irene is committed to continuing to learn and has participated in various trainings to help them best serve LGBTQ+ individuals. Trainings/workshops most recently completed are from but not limited to: Gender Spectrum, The Juniper Center, The Sexuality Information and Education Council of the United States (SIECUS), New Jersey Psychological Association, The Gender Confirmation Center, FORGE, The Center (NYC), and more.
