As an out trans and queer identified therapist, I’m dedicated to providing a safe therapeutic space for transgender, gender expansive, gender diverse, queer, and questioning clients. My practice in California and New York serves to fill a critical need in creating competent, affirming, accessible care for our community and offers a safe environment to explore, process, and repair relationships with the self and others.
My work centers individuals 18+ navigating challenges related to coming out, social and medical transition, interpersonal, familial, and intimate partner relationship dynamics. My client-therapist relationships center collaboration, support, and acceptance. Theoretically, I approach our therapeutic alliance from psychodynamic, relational, narrative, and systems lenses. We will explore how your lived experience impacts and yields performance and participation in the world around you.
I work towards actively acknowledging how intersectional identities and systems of oppression impact experiences. In an empathic space, I meet clients where they are to support the processing of trauma, reform the prioritization of one’s needs, and to create and expand boundaries, increase integration, and holistically care for the self. I cater interventions to individual client needs and utilize a diverse mix of therapeutic modalities to hold safe space for clients.
I am a Full Member of The World Professional Association for Transgender Health (WPATH) and a former Affiliate Member of The Los Angeles Gender Center (LAGC).
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with licensure in California and New York. I started my practice in NYC in 2016 and expanded to full-time practice in both states in 2021.
Before shifting my focus to private practice, I worked for several years as the Clinical Services Liaison for Harvey Milk High School (HMHS) and Hetrick-Martin Institute (HMI) in NYC. I provided direct therapy services and case management for hundreds of LGBTQ+ youth. My role directly informed their mission to promote a nurturing and inclusive educational environment where queer and gender expansive youth obtained the necessary skills to live successful, independent lives.
