I believe therapy should be a space where you can show up as you are, without feeling the need to explain, defend, or minimize parts of yourself. My goal is to create an environment where you feel genuinely seen, heard, and supported, with room for difficult conversations, curiosity, reflection, laughter, and everything in between.
I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and the founder of Alchemized Mind, a virtual therapy practice serving adults throughout Illinois and Maine. I earned my Master of Social Work from the University of Chicago and have over seven years of experience supporting individuals through a wide range of personal and emotional challenges.
A meaningful part of my work involves providing LGBTQIA+ affirming therapy. I work with individuals navigating sexual orientation, gender identity, coming out, relationships, family dynamics, self-esteem, and the impact of social expectations or experiences of discrimination. I recognize that everyone’s relationship with their identity is unique, and I strive to create a space where you can explore your experiences without judgment or pressure. Your identity doesn’t have to be the focus of our work unless that’s what feels meaningful to you.
Beyond identity-related concerns, I work with adults navigating anxiety, perfectionism, eating and body image concerns, grief, relationship challenges, and life transitions. Many of the people I work with appear to have things together on the outside while privately navigating uncertainty, self-criticism, or the pressure to meet expectations.
My therapeutic approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in the belief that you’re the expert on your own life. I draw from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), psychodynamic approaches, and motivational interviewing, tailoring our work to your individual needs and goals. Some sessions may focus on exploring patterns and developing greater self-understanding, while others may involve practical tools for navigating everyday challenges.
Above all, I value getting to know you as a whole person, beyond the challenges that may have brought you to therapy. Together, we can explore what you’ve been carrying, consider patterns that may no longer be serving you, and work toward a more compassionate relationship with yourself.
I offer virtual individual therapy to adults throughout Illinois and Maine. I accept select Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, and Cigna insurance plans, as well as self-pay, and offer a complimentary 15-minute consultation to explore whether working together feels like a good fit.
