I’m a board-certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) specializing in the care of children, adolescents, and young adults. I provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and therapy with a focus on creating a safe, collaborative, and affirming space where patients can be their authentic selves.
I believe mental health care should be individualized, evidence-based, and centered on the whole person—not just a diagnosis. My approach is warm, trauma-informed, neurodiversity-affirming, and grounded in partnership. Rather than asking, “What’s wrong with you?” I strive to understand, “What has your experience been, and how can we help you thrive?” I work closely with patients and families to develop practical, sustainable treatment plans that align with their goals, values, and identities.
As an LGBTQ+ affirming provider, I welcome patients of all sexual orientations, gender identities, and gender expressions. I recognize the unique mental health challenges that LGBTQ+ individuals may experience, including minority stress, discrimination, family rejection, identity exploration, and barriers to affirming healthcare. My office is a place where patients can expect their identities to be respected, their names and pronouns honored, and their experiences validated without judgment. I support patients across many aspects of care, including anxiety, depression, ADHD, autism, gender identity exploration, family support, relationship concerns, and life transitions. I am committed to providing culturally responsive care and continually expanding my knowledge through ongoing education.
I earned my Master of Science in Nursing from George Washington University and maintain national board certification as a PMHNP-BC. I regularly pursue continuing education to remain current with emerging evidence and best practices in child and adolescent psychiatry, neurodevelopmental disorders, psychopharmacology, trauma-informed care, and psychotherapy. My ongoing professional development includes advanced training in dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), autism assessment, executive functioning, and evidence-based treatment of pediatric and adolescent mental health conditions.
In addition to my clinical work, I am passionate about mental health education, advocacy, and reducing barriers to care. I develop educational resources for patients, parents, and healthcare professionals on topics including ADHD, autism, executive functioning, anxiety, and PMDD. I also volunteer with community mental health initiatives and advocate for expanding access to high-quality, affirming mental health care for underserved communities.
Whether you’re seeking answers for long-standing challenges, navigating a new diagnosis, supporting your child, exploring your identity, or simply looking for a provider who will truly listen, my goal is to help you feel understood, empowered, and supported throughout your journey. I believe that meaningful change happens within a trusting therapeutic relationship, and I consider it a privilege to partner with my patients as they build healthier, more fulfilling lives.
