I’m a gay, Jewish, AASECT-Certified Sex Therapist and licensed clinical social worker. I see gay, bi and queer men, and couples, online across New York, New Jersey, New Hampshire and Florida.
Most of my clients are men dealing with something they’ve rarely said out loud. That might be erections that come and go, desire that’s faded, porn or hookups that feel out of control, or a sex life that doesn’t match who they are. I don’t treat these as “addiction” or as something broken in you. Using the out-of-control sexual behavior (OCSB) model, we look at what the behavior is doing for you, and at what you want your sexual life to look like instead.
About half my work is with couples: gay and queer couples dealing with desire gaps, open or opening relationships, trust and repeating fights. I also see mixed-orientation couples, where one partner is gay or bi and the other isn’t, and both are deciding what comes next.
I also have a particular commitment to gay and queer Jews. Many have lost friends, community, colleagues or mentors to anti-Jewish hate, sometimes from inside LGBTQ+ spaces. Here you don’t have to explain or defend either part of who you are.
Since 2022 I’ve been a therapist at the Institute for Human Identity, NYC’s mental health center dedicated to LGBTQ+ communities. I’ve also trained providers across NYC Health + Hospitals in LGBTQ+ affirming care.
My approach draws on emotionally focused therapy, schema therapy, psychodynamic work and ACT. I’m warm and direct. I won’t solve your problems for you; I’ll help you build the capacity your life and relationships are asking for. I’m sex-positive, kink-allied and affirming of every relationship structure.
