My name is Juston Johnston, DNP, FNP-C, AAHIVS. I am a doctorate-prepared, board-certified family nurse practitioner, credentialed HIV Specialist, and the founder of OUT Primary Care, an LGBTQ+ primary care practice in Denver. With more than six years of experience, my career has focused on comprehensive primary care, sexual health, HIV prevention and treatment, and LGBTQ+ healthcare.
I created OUT Primary Care to be a practice that is not simply accepting of the LGBTQ+ community, but actually designed for the LGBTQ+ community. My practice is built around open conversations without judgment or assumptions. My approach is straightforward, collaborative, and grounded in evidence-based practice, with wrap-around care that considers the whole person and each patient’s individual needs and goals.
I provide comprehensive primary care, including annual physicals and wellness visits, preventive care, routine health screenings, medication management, and care for both acute and chronic health conditions. My specialized services include oral and injectable PrEP, PEP, HIV testing, HIV care and treatment, STI prevention, screening, testing and treatment, sexual healthcare, and personalized gender-affirming care.
As a Colorado native and openly gay man, caring for this community is personal to me. It is my community too. OUT Primary Care is accepting new patients for in-person appointments in Denver’s Highlands neighborhood and telehealth appointments throughout Colorado.
