I’m a queer radically inclusive neurodivergent esthetician with over 12 years of experience in professional skincare and makeup artistry services and education. [ Instagram @phoenixesthetics ] All my services are treated as gender affirming care for all clients – yes that includes my cis clients, too!
Specialties include corrective brow services (i.e. brow waxing, lamination, tinting), face waxing (everything from the neck up), healing gua sha facial massages, personal makeup lessons, custom skincare consultations, and lash lifting and tinting. To my knowledge, as of 2024 I am also the first esthetician in the United States to offer Angel Treatments, which are my own version of the Angel Shots (aka “Ask for Angela”) offered in restaurants and bars. Angel Treatments provide the exact same specific care for special circumstances, and this care is something I’m uniquely equipped to provide from years of personal experience in such situations. In the same way, all my services are filtered through not only years of professional training and experience, but also an extensive personal history of struggles that taught me first-hand how to spot the often-overlooked details that make a world of difference to many people. My niche is providing custom corrective services and an accommodating environment that I’ve specifically designed to center clients with skin sensitivities, sensory processing issues, chaotic schedules, chronic illnesses, invisible and visible disabilities, and trauma history. When you’re in my chair, you’re in a safe space with your esthetician bestie who wants you to feel as secure and comfortable as possible.
As for the makeup lessons, those cover most techniques and subjects from super simple tricks that enhance the features you love most, to full-blown drag stage artistry. My skincare consultations range from bare minimum low-demand healthy basics, to in-depth home treatments that help you reduce the need for future invasive treatments. (Spoiler alert: sunscreen is your best friend – YES even if you don’t burn!) All my lessons and consultations are formatted as telehealth / video call appointments so that my clients can enjoy learning from the comfort of their own home and using any products they may want to learn about, but of course I happily accommodate in-person appointments as well. If a client asks something that I don’t have the answers to – we’re all human and still learning, after all! – then I will go out of my way to get whatever extra professional education I possibly can to address their question. For issues outside my scope of practice, all my clients are referred to providers who share my holistic inclusive professional stance.
Even my location is designed to be as safe and accommodating as possible. The Phoenix Esthetics studio is my own private property with 24/7 on site security and private parking just a few feet from the doors. That means no more walking alone to your car in the dark. No more trekking up multiple flights of stairs. No more fighting for curbside parking or paying the meter. The only unavailable accommodation is a public bathroom, but there are multiple public bathrooms available within just a few blocks.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me via phoenixesthetics.com. All my contact information, as well as a direct contact messaging page, are all available there. Stay safe, stay hydrated, and I’ll see you soon!
