Hi, I’m Kat (they/she), an AuDHD and LGBTQ+ (queer, genderqueer) clinician and the owner of Wingspan. I provide neuro-affirming, LGBTQ+ inclusive services for autistic and ADHD folx of all ages, virtual throughout Virginia or in-person in Richmond. In 2024, I received the LGBTQ+ Business Award from the Washington Business Journal for my advocacy and education on LGBTQ+ topics, particularly inclusive care for the transgender, non-binary, and gender non-conforming community, and I have trained on this topic for over a decade.
I seek to cultivate a deeply inclusive environment for my clients who are LGBTQ+, autistic, ADHD, and beyond. As a practice, I challenge ableism and uphold social justice, disability and neurodiversity justice, body liberation, anti-racism, and sexuality and gender identity inclusion — both personally and professionally. I am also dedicated to providing financially accessible care.
I specialize in diagnostic evaluations for autism and/or ADHD for adults and teens who are high-masking, 2E (twice exceptional), seeking a diagnosis later in life, and/or desiring a more affirming evaluation process, as well as autism evaluations for children whose traits might otherwise be overlooked by the traditional process. I am also passionate about supporting parents who are seeking their own diagnosis after their child’s diagnosis/traits led to new or increased self-discovery. I additionally offer therapeutic consult sessions (short-term, solution-focused therapy; 1-3 sessions) for adults and teens, particularly those newly and self-diagnosed, hoping to further explore their identity and unmasking, as well as for specific topics such as intentionally parenting for your family’s unique neurotypes and cultivating neuro-inclusive home environments. I offer an overall experience that is collaborative, empowering, and rooted in your lived experience.
