As an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist, I provide affirmative therapy to individuals, couples, teens, and families. My approach honors and celebrates the diversity and uniqueness of each individual’s identity and experience, creating a supportive environment for growth and healing.
I focus on fostering self-awareness, promoting self-acceptance, and helping clients understand how their past and present environments shape their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. By taking a collaborative approach, I work closely with clients to uncover personal insights and develop practical strategies for overcoming challenges. Additionally, I offer specialized support to families and partners of LGBTQIA+ individuals, helping them improve communication, enhance understanding, and navigate the complexities of change.
I hold a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology with a specialization in LGBT-Affirmative Psychology from Antioch University. My clinical training was completed at Maple Counseling, where I gained experience working with adults, adolescents, and families. My expertise includes working with LGBTQIA+ clients on a wide range of issues such as gender identity, HIV status, intersex variations, non-monogamous relationships, internalized homo/bi/transphobia, religious trauma, kink/BDSM, sex work, and domestic violence. I also have training and experience working with individuals and couples on issues of sexuality and intimacy.
I am an active member of several professional organizations, including the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists (CAMFT), The World Professional Association for Transgender Health (WPATH), and The American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors, and Therapists (AASECT). My registration number is AMFT #138521, and I am supervised by Grace O’Connor, LMFT #128074.
