Every day, LGBTQ+ people experience discrimination and mistreatment that discourages them from seeking the medical care they need. Therapeutic massage is an incredibly effective mode of healthcare, but for individuals in the LGBTQ+ community, particularly trans or gender nonconforming folks, accessing massage therapy can seem particularly daunting – Will the therapist be respectful of all pronouns and orientations? What kind of body draping will be used? Is the massage practice truly inclusive of all bodies that arrive for therapy?

Good MettaSen Therapeutic Massage is a safe zone! We are proud to serve clients from the LGBTQ+ community and we are committed to providing safe, affirming, inclusive massage care for all LGBTQ+ individuals and their allies. This includes taking ongoing training and continuing to work with other LGBTQ+ practitioners and advocacy organizations in the Northern Kentucky area to ensure LGBTQ+ clients are getting the highest possible quality of care.

Additionally, Good MettaSen aims to ensure the comfort of our LGBTQ+ clients by using:
> Inclusive Intake Forms — Come as you are and share only what you feel comfortable with. We have not included any invasive, irrelevant questions on our intake forms. We encourage potential clients to schedule using whatever name they want to be called and to share their preferred pronouns with us!
> Gender Neutral Draping — Gender neutral draping helps keep all clients safe! We drape all bodies equitably and encourage our clients to wear as much clothing as they need to feel comfortable.
> Confidentiality — Good MettaSen is founded on building genuine trust with our clients and confidentiality is vital to that. Everything that is said at our massage studio, stays in our studio. We do not ever discuss our clients, disclose their names, or reveal the details of their massage session(s) with anyone else.
> LGBTQ+ Resources — We try to keep a variety of LGBTQ+ resources on hand at our studio and we are happy to be able to refer our clients to other LGBTQ+ friendly holistic health practitioners in the Northern Kentucky area.
