I am a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT, ATC, RYT-200) and the founder of Hive Therapy and Wellness, a cash-based, out-of-network practice in Minnesota offering both in-person and telehealth care. My work is rooted in providing highly individualized, one-on-one care with a strong emphasis on listening, collaboration, and whole-person wellness.
I specialize in pelvic floor physical therapy and work with individuals across all genders and identities experiencing concerns such as pelvic pain, painful intercourse, bowel and bladder dysfunction, postpartum recovery, and core/hip dysfunction. I also support patients navigating chronic pain, nervous system dysregulation, and return to movement after injury or life transitions.
I am committed to providing LGBTQ+ affirming, trauma-informed care. This includes creating a space where patients feel safe discussing their bodies, identities, and experiences without fear of judgment or assumption. I recognize that many LGBTQ+ individuals have had negative or dismissive healthcare experiences, particularly in areas related to pelvic health, and I intentionally work to rebuild trust through clear communication, consent-based care, and patient-led goal setting.
My approach avoids one-size-fits-all protocols. Instead, I guide patients through a personalized plan of care that focuses on reducing symptoms, building resilience, and helping them return to the activities that matter most to them. I prioritize education, body awareness, and empowerment so patients feel confident navigating their health both inside and outside of sessions.
I have completed advanced training in pelvic health, orthopedic care, and movement-based rehabilitation, and I regularly integrate principles of nervous system regulation, breathwork, and functional movement into treatment. As a yoga teacher (RYT-200), I also incorporate mindful movement and body awareness strategies when appropriate.
I welcome and affirm LGBTQ+ patients, including those who are transgender, nonbinary, gender-diverse, and queer. I am comfortable working with individuals at all stages of their journey, including those seeking care related to gender-affirming changes, pelvic floor considerations, or general musculoskeletal concerns.
