I am an out queer and trans/genderqueer/non-binary pediatrician practicing primary care and hospital care in Springfield, Oregon. I have worked under experts at Seattle Childrens Gender Clinic and practiced in Washington, Oregon and Alaska. I have done work with the Lavender Rights Project on clarifying legal avenues for medical providers to bring confidential gender care services to minors. I led the University of Washington School of Medicine (UWSOM) Q medicine student group, completed the LGBTQ+ pathway at the UWSOM, been actively engaged in queer advocacy at Seattle Childrens residency program. I’m enjoying getting to know how to help queer and trans kids thrive in my new home here in Oregon. Currently I can provide counseling to minors about medical interventions for gender care, but cannot prescribe transition related hormones at this time. I am able to provide referrals to prescribing physicians and connect patients to surgical options. I work closely with our social worker and behavioral health consultants who can help you navigate issues related to school and mental health. I am committed to making you feel great about who you are and get connected to places to meet your gender care goals. The world can be harsh to trans folks but we can thrive together and celebrate our joy louder than anyone!
