*CURRENTLY ON A WAITLIST* For the last 20 years I have worked with diverse groups of people in both community mental health and healthcare settings. My deep compassion for the lived experience of others calls me to be present, listen fully and be attuned to each and every person I serve.
I have spent extensive time working with the LGBT community as well as their family members. Being a member of this community allows me to draw from not only my own experiences but also the years of training and education that allow me to provide therapy services in a competent, affirming, and person-centered manner. I have specialized training working with individuals who are gender diverse and standing up to the systems of oppression that exist in our world. These skills have allowed me to process the trauma that is too often inherent in living for many who are part of minoritized communities.
I also have a special interest in those experiencing a complex relationships with their body. Having worked with those who have disordered eating patterns and have been impacted by the pervasive social conditioning that lead so many of us to struggle with our own image. I practice from a body-neutrality framework that helps others explore their often internalized thoughts and behaviors which can be harmful to both their mental and physical wellness.
While I’ve served in many different settings, worked with many different types of people, and operated from multiple theoretical frames works over the years what I have found is that the therapeutic relationship is the most impactful catalyst for the change you seek. I look forward to building that with you.
