You may be reaching out for support for a multitude of reasons, but first and foremost you want to know that your therapy sessions are a safe place. Most of the time the people I work with aren’t coming to therapy because of identity issues but want to work with someone with lived experience so that they won’t be required to educate or explain. I specialize in treating eating disorders, body image issues and trauma for LGBTQ folx and use a trauma informed and feminist approach to therapy. In therapy with me you will learn more about the challenges you face, how they developed and how to heal from the past. You will learn to accept your body AS IT IS NOW and heal your relationship with food and exercise. In addition to talk therapy, I am certified in Hypnotherapy which we can incorporate into your sessions if that feels right.
My practice is completely virtual which is helpful in cutting down on stressors that often prevent people from scheduling and attending sessions regularly. I work with people in both Ohio and Florida as I am licensed in both states.
