My name is Lisa Edwards, PsyD (she/they/theirs), and I am a licensed clinical psychologist practicing in PA,
DE, and PsyPACT states, with a doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Widener University. As a non-binary,
mixed-race person, I have lived in a space of ambiguity, identity confusion, and exploration. These experiences
have guided my interest in exploring the impact of identity, marginalization, and society on the view of the self,
and decreasing the internalized stigma that is often developed.
Both my research and my clinical practice focus on minoritized populations and trauma, and exploring means of
healing in a society that rhythmically retraumatizes. I want to help decrease your suffering, acknowledge your
pain, and move towards a life worth living. My work is rooted in an integrative approach including Acceptance
and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Self-Compassion-Focused Therapy,
and Relational Psychotherapy. I view therapy as a collaborative process, where I hope to flexibly meet the
needs of my clients, so we can explore the impact of societal systems, upbringing, and identity on your present
experience. I take a non-pathologizing, intersectional, anti-oppressive, and compassionate approach to care.
My goal is to help you move towards your values and live a fulfilling life in the direction that you create.
My values, both personally and professionally, are anti-oppressive, collaborative, and compassionate focused.
Each individual has a plethora of experiences that impact their present moment, and I want to take a non-
judgmental, explorative approach to understanding that process for each client. Clients are the experts of their
experience, and I want to use my knowledge and experience to help guide you towards the values that make
you feel fulfilled.
I can provide a superbill for my out-of-network clients and help with reimbursement.
