My Name is Lisa Johnson. I have been working in the medical field for over 10 years. I am dual-board certified as a psychiatric nurse practitioner and a family nurse practitioner with a masters in community health. I provide medication management and I have advanced training in psychotherapy including cognitive behavioral therapy, solution focused therapy, brief therapy, motivational interviewing, talk therapy. Additionally, I specialize in integrative psychiatry and nutrition. I partner with clients to help meet their needs. I am a great listener, I am very empathetic, and I believe in treating the “whole” person. I enjoy working with people of diverse backgrounds including Veterans, BIPOC, and the LGBTQIA+ community. My educational background and professional experience gives me with a unique perspective when providing holistic psychiatric and family services. I partner with clients to develop an individualized treatment plan utilizing an integrated approach to care. Working as a team, we develop mutually agreed upon treatment goals, engage in motivational patient education, and discuss the benefits and or risks of various treatment options. After each session, clients will walk away feeling as sense of empowerment, like they were heard, their feelings were validated, and that they were actively involved in developing treatment goals. Over two decades of providing direct and in direct services including public health planning, development and management, public health strategies, patient education, community outreach, case management, including nursing services to members of the LGBTQ community. Advanced training through AANP, ANCC,PESI Institute and the CDC in LGTQ+ care.
