I am an openly non-binary, queer therapist. I attended Appalachian State University for my undergraduate education, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology, with a minor in Sociology. Before attending graduate school, I interned at a Suboxone clinic. This solidified my decision to pursue further education in the substance use treatment and mental health fields. I earned my Master’s of Science degree in Substance Abuse and Clinical Counseling at East Carolina University.
I offer services based on my professional expertise and desire to help others. The populations I most often work with include those in the LGBTQ+ community, adolescents, and people with substance use disorders. I believe that counseling can be of great benefit to many people as we can all continue to grow into more balanced, healthier versions of ourselves. For that reason I strive to keep a healthy balance between work, community engagement, and personal time and encourage my clients to do the same.
