As a therapist, my goal is to create a safe and accepting environment that will allow clients to reflect, heal and grow – wherever they are at in their journey. I actively acknowledge the impact of oppressive systems on mental health and overall wellbeing, especially for those with marginalized identities. I hold the collaborative therapeutic relationship I build with each client at the core of our work together and practice from a strengths-based, liberation centered, intersectional/multidimensional feminist perspective. In sessions, I typically use a combination of mindfulness, cognitive behavioral therapy, solution focused therapy, motivational interviewing, and reflective listening.
My experiences as a queer, neurodivergent transgender man have shaped the personal and professional values and philosophies that I hold and advocate for. With this, I understand firsthand the importance of holding room for each client’s unique experiences, feelings and
journey and creating a space in which they can not only be their most authentic selves, but also explore difficult, uncomfortable, or sensitive topics as well.
I have worked with clients from various backgrounds, experiences and diagnoses, and have a particular passion for working with individuals who are commonly underrepresented and underserved in mental health spaces. I am currently accepting new clients and am always happy to schedule a free 15-minute consultation call to see if we would be a good fit in working together!
