Hello!
I have been a therapist for over 10 years, and love helping people connect to and better understand themselves. I believe through better understanding and accepting ourselves and our intrapersonal relationship with our self, the more we can understand interpersonal relationships and achieve personal goals and fulfillment. You can’t live your best life, if you don’t know your self and what you want that to look like! I have experience with WPATH SOC and pull from a variety of modalities including: CBT, DBT, affirmative therapy, and narrative therapy – always with a trauma informed approach.
I am a sexologist, therapist, educator and researcher. In terms of professional qualifications and passions – my dissertation was ‘me-search’ and was titled “The Erasure is Real: Experiences of Bisexual Queer Women in Monogamous Relationships with Men”, focusing on how people stay connected to their identity in relationships that lead to invisibility. I’m also proud to say I am cited in the 2021 APA Guidelines for Psychological Practice with Sexual Minority Persons for my work on Bisexual Inclusive Couples Therapy. As an adjunct professor and nerd, you can expect psychoeducation and resources when working with me. I also have a history of medical social work and working with chronic illness as it relates to mental health and sexuality.
As for me personally, I identify as bisexual, queer, agender, and use she/they pronouns. I’m an animal lover (3 fur babies), gamer, and consumer of media (especially audiobooks and I love the drive in!).
