Meghan Colonna, LSW, is dedicated to providing a safe, affirming, and inclusive space for LGBTQ+ individuals. She understands the unique challenges faced by the community and works with clients to explore identity, relationships, mental health, and life transitions with compassion and respect. Meghan has extensive experience supporting neurodivergent individuals, including those with ADHD and autism, as well as those navigating parenting, maternal mental health, trauma, and codependency.
Her therapeutic approach is deeply personalized, integrating evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), trauma-informed care, Gestalt, play therapy, narrative therapy, and a strengths-based perspective. Meghan graduated magna cum laude from Rutgers University and earned her Master’s in Social Work from the University of Central Florida. Her professional experience includes working with families facing housing insecurity, children with developmental challenges, and individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, mood disorders, and complex trauma (C-PTSD).
Meghan is passionate about LGBTQ+ advocacy and has pursued specialized training in gender identity, sexuality, and inclusive mental health care. She remains committed to ongoing education and professional development to ensure that her clients receive the most affirming and effective support.
