I bring a genuine commitment to creating a space where LGBTQ+ clients don’t have to explain or justify who they are. That means you can bring your whole self — your identities, your relationships, your history — without having to manage my learning curve.
I approach this work through a systemic lens, recognizing that many of the struggles LGBTQ+ clients carry aren’t simply personal — they’re the result of navigating environments, families, and institutions that weren’t built with you in mind. That context matters in therapy, and I take it seriously.
My background in creative arts and expressive approaches also means we’re not limited to talking our way through difficult experiences. For clients who find it hard to put certain things into words — identity, trauma, complicated feelings about community or belonging — there are other ways in.
I work with LGBTQ+ adults, teens, and tweens, and I’m particularly attentive to the intersection of identity with addiction, trauma, and mental health.
