Welcome!
I am first and foremost, a humanistic therapist. When I say that, I mean I follow your lead about what your goals are and what you are interested in. We all make meaning in unique ways, and I believe that you have an innate wisdom that may feel quiet right now but absolutely lives on despite the things that you are moving through—whether that be the larger geopolitical climate, systemic oppression, or challenges in your personal life. I work with individuals and relationships of all configurations.
I am a queer, Afro-Indigenous, Two-Spirit, poly person. My identities and my spiritual and somatic background as a yoga teacher and artist influence my work with people. These experiences help me to hold space for the whole of who you are: your mind, body, spirit, and lived experiences.
I believe that so much of healing happens in relationship, where we have the opportunity to be activated, challenged, and to learn. The therapy space is no different. I view this work as a co-creative process, where we explore and grow together, tapping into your inner wisdom and resilience. I also believe in the power of conflict and discomfort as opportunities for growth and healing. The goal is not always to avoid or eliminate challenges, but to learn to navigate them with more awareness, compassion, and authenticity.
My work is grounded in the principles of liberation and decolonization, and I approach each therapeutic relationship with a commitment to honoring your unique journey. I see my role as a guide, supporting you in uncovering the layers that may have been imposed upon you, so that you can reconnect with your truest self and find empowerment, healing, and wholeness.
