-12+ years of working with adult patients from many different backgrounds, identities, sexualities, and neurodiversity.
-Psychiatric practice is compassion based, starting with respect and cultural humility.
-Therapeutic stance: trauma informed and existential.
-Competent in compassion-focused therapies, mindfulness skills, cognitive and psychodynamic psychotherapy.
-LGBTQ+ continuing medical education, including through the American Psychiatric Association and other entities. CME includes LGBTQ+ topics annually, and WPATH Standards of Care.
-Ongoing consultation with mental health professionals with varying gender identities, expressions, and lived experiences.
-Coordination of care with other members of the patient’s healthcare team.
-Memberships & certifications: American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, National Board of Physicians and Surgeons, American Psychiatric Association.
