I am a straight white female, but my passion has been working with the LGBTQ+ population my entire
career. This includes families and friends of the LGBTQ+ community. I feel that it is the responsibility of
the straight population to lead by example. I have family and friends who are part of this marginalized
population, and have seen the emotional, physical and mental impact of prejudice on this population
and their families. Currently 91% of my clientele are from the LGBTQ+ community. This community,
their families and friends are one of the most underserved communities in the United States. They are
overlooked when it comes to medical and mental health services, as well as resources for domestic
abuse and family services.
In addition to being a Licensed Therapist, I am also a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, a Licensed Master
Social Worker, and a Registered Nurse. I know that our physical and mental health are linked. They can’t
be separated. When clients are experiencing mental health issues, it will affect their physical health, and
vice versa. Many of my clients have or are in the process of transitioning. The medical knowledge I have
as a registered nurse is often helpful for explaining and answering questions regarding medications and
terminology that doctors often don’t have time to explain. I explain things from a multidisciplinary
approach, which provides better outcomes mentally, physically and socially for my clients.
I left corporate healthcare because I didn’t feel that clients were receiving the care they needed or
wanted. My clients have direct contact with me, and only me. I answer each phone call, text and email
directly. My clients know that if there is an urgent need, I will find a time to see them. My clients are
respectful to emergencies and will often reschedule their own appointments to accommodate someone
else. I don’t use an on-call service for after hour emergencies. I answer my own phone during the night.
How I deliver care matters to me. While I do have a cancellation policy, I work very hard to reschedule
so clients can avoid charges when life happens. Here’s a twist, if I have to cancel an appointment with a
client, I pay them the same service charge. Yep, it’s true. I am equally respectful of your time.

the opportunity to show you how the way I provide hybrid mental services is different than you’ve ever
experienced.
