I’m a Psychology Associate working under the supervision of John Parkhurst, PhD. I obtained my Ph.D. in Clinical-Community Psychology from The George Washington University. I work with a diverse range of clients, including adolescents and adults, and provide individual therapy in a supportive and collaborative environment for personal growth. As a queer Latinx individual, I specialize in providing gender-affirming and culturally competent care for the LGBTQ+ and transgender communities, while also serving the broader community to create a safe space for individuals to explore their identities, relationships, and mental health.
Using an integrative approach centered around Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), I address themes, including anxiety, depression, acculturation difficulties, issues associated with discrimination, and social stressors. My areas of expertise include gender affirming support, LGBTQ+ affirmative therapy, and navigating HIV/AIDS-related mental health concerns.
Committed to accessibility and inclusivity, I provide services in both English and Spanish. With extensive experience in clinical practice, and research, I’m dedicated to empowering clients and communities through intersectional and cultural humility approaches that consider the unique challenges faced by individuals with multiple marginalized identities.
