It is my personal care philosophy that healthcare access is a human right; that all individuals should have access to quality healthcare regardless of barriers that may be present in their life. As a queer nurse and nurse practitioner, I vow to advocate for and provide quality healthcare services to meet the diverse health needs of the LGBTQAI2S+ community; the community which has embraced me. My experiences in emergency nursing, hospice nursing, academic teaching, and as a nurse practitioner have taught me to be an excellent clinical reasoner, aspiring LGBTQAI2S+ provider, and implored me to fight to be a change agent for LGBTQAI2S+ community. I felt called to give back to the community for which I am so very passionate about. I want to make positive differences in the lives of the patients I serve and cannot wait to being improving the lives of the patients to whom I provide care.
