I am a white, heterosexual female. I view myself as being non-judgmental and open minded. I have friends and family members who are and identify as being in the LGBTQ community. I believe in equality in treatment for everyone. I have not had as much formal training as I would like in this area. However I self study by reading books and consulting with co-workers. My trainings have all been through the Department of Defense, through working with them. I am also very outspoken and I am not afraid to ask questions to a client if I don’t understand something. Just like my clients, I learn things when we are in sessions together.
