I am a cis-gender bisexual woman who came out about my sexuality later in life. Counseling was so helpful to help me navigate this complex experience. I have grappled with the complexities of the intersection of faith and sexual identity in LDS/Mormon/Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints contexts. I also have a child under the rainbow umbrella, and am familiar with what is needed to support preteens and teens in their identity exploration and the challenges that arise. I frequently attend support group meetings at a local LGBTQ+ center, and have attended trainings online on best practices for supporting LGBTQ+ people, and am a member of Mama Dragons.
