I am a dedicated mental health professional who believes that therapeutic care must be genuine, collaborative, and deeply affirming. My practice is built on a foundational belief: nothing is wrong with you.
I operate from a strictly anti-pathologizing framework, meaning I do not diagnose clients or view their struggles through a lens of mental illness labels. To be truly trauma-informed, we must recognize that assigning a medical diagnosis can inadvertently pathologize a person’s natural response to difficult life events.
Instead, I view symptoms as vital signals and evidence of the profound impact your lived experiences have had on you. Through a supportive partnership, I help you develop an awareness of these signals, discover insights into the cause-and-effect of your history, and rethink the stories you tell yourself about who you are. Together, we work to cultivate a deeply self-compassionate relationship with yourself, dismantling the negative thinking and behavioral patterns that stem from toxic societal norms and systemic indoctrination.
Integrative Framework & Social Justice Lens
My practice is actively anti-pathologizing, trauma-informed, anti-colonial, and anti-capitalist. I am constantly questioning how to navigate the complex reality of being “in the system, but not part of it,” and I intentionally weave these values into every policy, procedure, and sliding scale consideration in my practice.
I recognize that true healing cannot happen in a vacuum. I operate from a whole-person, integrative perspective that connects our internal world to broader societal structures. I am committed to continuous learning, reflection, and action to ensure my active allyship with BIPOC and LGBTQ+ individuals is deeply rooted, culturally humble, and far more than performative.
