I have worked in the field of psychiatry since 2000, and over the course of those 23+ years I have taken plenty of courses and various types of education regarding LGBTQ+ issues. That being said, no course can put a cis-gendered, heterosexual woman into someone else’s shoes. I will not pretend that my struggles are the same as your struggles, but I can promise that my empathy and understanding will be present during your care with me. I provide an inclusive and safe space for you to express concerns and together we will decide what treatment options would be best for you.
